The Postgraduate Education Centre provides the infrastructure and support to facilitate the education, training and continuing development of postgraduate professionals in hospital medicine, general practice and dentistry. The PGEC also has an active role in planning education and encouraging multidisciplinary learning and teaching across the Trust. The PGEC is also responsible for the provision of Undergraduate medical education rotational placements across East Surrey Hospital.
The centre's work is to support clincal education and this includes all Foundation Year teaching programmes for the new F1 and F2 junior doctors. Teaching programmes follow national framework curriculums and Department of Health guidelines. The centre also hosts numerous regional teaching meetings and events. Many specialties within the Trust use the facilities for departmental teaching.

- Foundation Training Programme
- General Practice Training Programme
- Core and Higher Specialty Training
- Provision of Education Faculty Development
- Administration of Study Leave for Consultants, Locally Employed Doctors, Doctors and Dentists in Training.
We deliver a wide range of teaching programme as well as Regional Training Days to ensure that Doctors and Dentists are equipped with the skills to deliver excellent patient care.
